Camp Pekiwewin feedback sought by the City

The City of Edmonton is defending a legal action to prevent them from dismantling any homeless encampments at any time. The City has concerns, including that the request would prevent them from intervening in situations of criminal activity and public safety.

The Rossdale community league board has resolved to provide evidence for the City based on experience with Camp Pekiwewin. If any individual would like to provide their own evidence the City Solicitor can be contacted at michael.gunther@edmonton.ca. Ideally anyone should contact Michael before October 30, 2023.
