Insurance can be obtained from any insurance broker. Rates vary, so you may want to check more than one company. Brokers that many of our renters have used are:
PAL Insurance Brokers (www.palcanada.com/en/),
Foster Park Brokers (https://quote.fosterpark.ca/facility-rental )
Duuo Insurance (Duuo Canada: Your Digital Insurance Company | On-demand Insurance)
You can obtain a quote online or via phone. You can also contact your own insurance broker (or any broker) to get a quote. The price for the Insurance varies depending on the event and the company; rates are generally between $40 to $180.
Tip - Occasionally renters have purchased insurance that doesn’t address the rental requirements or the insurance brokers need to provide advice on an aspect of the event, and extra time is needed to get this sorted - please submit your insurance ASAP for review and as a minimum, it is needed two weeks before your event. Thanks!
The Rossdale Community Hall is located at 10135 - 96 Avenue
LIQUOR LICENSE
The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) requires that renters hosting an event must supply their own liquor and liquor license/permit. The liquor license/permit is to be displayed at the bar at all times during the function.
Liquor Licenses can be acquired through the AGLC website (https://aglc.ca/). Prices for the license are dependent on the event – eg., a private non-sale SEL license is $10, and a private resale SEL license is $25.
